Ceiba State Forest

Ceiba State Forest is a very small forest along the eastern coast of Puerto Rico. It is located about 2 miles from the city of Fajardo and about 5 miles from the city of Ceiba. The Ceiba State Forest mostly contains mangroves with some sandy beaches.

Activities available at Ceiba State Forest include hiking trails, fishing, bird watching, boating and kayaking, and some small beach areas. The forest contains many species of birds as well as sea life including manatees, dolphins, and sea turtles.

Ceiba State Forest is open for visitors from 9am to 5pm Tuesday through Sunday. Call the forest information line at 787-860-5268 for assistance, permits, and information.

If you are in the area, it is well worth the effort to visit the El Yunque National Forest which is only about 10 miles away.
